You and your friends may have visited The Rail recently and had a great time. Come on Karaoke Night and by the end of the evening each of you may gather your courage up and perform a song solo, much to the delight of the others.

Karaoke is a great date idea! (Bonus points for double-dating as Karaoke is perfect for Couples Night Out.) It’s also a creative date idea! You show your creativity, bravery and risk taking skills to your date. If you’re willing to take this kind of a risk for your date, what else are you willing to do?

OK Sanjaya, not sure if Karaoke is for you? Here’s a few tips to help you get over your stage fright and be a success.

How to be Successfull at Karaoke:

  • Have a drink or two to calm your nerves (We don’t recommend that you become intoxicated though.)
  • Talk to the DJ (They usually have a catalog of the songs with them) and pick a song to sing.
  • Sing your Song (follow the bouncing ball)
  • Hear the applause, see the smiles and have a laugh about it the rest of the night!

What to Bring:

  • Your Singing Voice if you have one
  • Courage
  • Your Date Gentlemen, you can romantically serenade your date which will make all the other guys in the bar gag, and all of their dates swoon and be upset with their men, asking why they didn’t do something romantic like dedicate a song to them.
